Farrell, Patsy

Patsy Farrell, was born in Galway, where he continues to live and work. He is a self-taught artist known for his works in pastel.

His partnership in a garage business with brother Gay has helped Patsy turn his craftmanship into art, with each of them developing a unique style. Their shared love for creating has led to extraordinary works, including a
notable larger-than-life sculpture of Jack Charlton made from used oil drums.

Patsy started as a wood carver, influenced by Larry O'Kelly, but found his passion in painting, particularly with pastels. His work focuses on the changing landscapes of Cappagh and the inspiration he draws from Connemara and the streets of Galway.

Patsy’s art captures the familiar in a fresh, vibrant way, reflecting his joy and fulfilment.
